Team India won its 100 Test Match

India earned their 100th Test victory by comprehensively beating Sri Lanka by an innings and 144 runs in Kanpur.

In reply to India's imposing total of 642, Sri Lanka were all out for 229 in the first innings and the following on folded up for 269 in the second.

Harbhajan Singh took three for 98 while debutant Pragyan Ojha bagged two for 36. Thilan Samaraweera was the top scorer with 78.

With a 1-0 lead under their belt, the Indians would be a confident lot heading into the third Test to be played at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai
